We seem to be missing disasters by a close margin on this cruise.
First we were travelling just off the coast when the Haiti earthquqake hit.
Then we missed the floods in Machu Picchu by a couple of days.
We left Chile several days before the earthquake rocked the region.
Some of the places that we visited, like Isla Robinson Crusoe, were very hard hit.
They lost 8 people on that island when the tsunami hit.
I don´t know what lies ahead, but hopefully we can stay ahead of any future disasters.
